POSTING PRINTS

Shipping is added at checkout. There are two levels of postage for smaller items and larger rolled prints.

For orders within 5 miles of my address (Uffington, Oxfordshire), please select the free delivery option and I will pop round with your items.

I currently only offer shipping through my website within the UK. If you would like to discuss whether a print can be shipped internationally, please contact me through my contact page.

PACKAGING

Original prints smaller than A4 will be posted flat, with an acid-free mount and backing board ready to frame. Prints larger than A4 will be rolled in acid-free tissue paper and biodegradable cellophane and posted in a sturdy cardboard tube.

I try to use fully biodegradable and/or recycled packaging as much as possible. This includes biodegradable sticky tape and cellophane wrapping. When posting original artwork I use strong cardboard tubes but can also use 100% recycled plastic postal bags to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition.

If you are concerned about where a package might be left (e.g. on a doorstep) please let me know as you place your order so that I can ensure a watertight package!

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

I am not able to accept returns of original artwork so please read the product description and any other details carefully. In particular, colours may not appear true to life on a phone or computer screen.

Each original print is a unique artwork, so there may be small differences or imperfections that are inherent to the process. I am always happy to share more detail photos or information about an item before you make a commitment.

Please note that all prints are shipped unframed unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

If there is an issue with your order e.g. it is damaged during transit - please let me know straight away with photos of the unopened damaged packaging and artwork, and I will try to replace or refund.

GIFT PURCHASES

If you are buying one of my prints as a gift please leave at least a fortnight before any critical dates! Please let me know the recipient's name, the postal address and the date it is needed by in the comments section. Receipts and tracking information are emailed to you as the purchaser, not the recipient.

I can also include a hand-written message, complementary gift-wrapping or add a greetings card to the order. Please do get in touch with any specific details.

For any questions at all, please get in touch through my contact form.

FRAMING

I believe very strongly that artwork should be affordable, and this includes the framing!

I frame much of my work myself using solid ash frames and archive and conservation quality mount and backing boards to prevent acid damage. I am also happy to recommend local framing companies within Oxfordshire. Further afield it's a good idea to find a reputable local framer registered with the Fine Art Trade Guild.

I send prints that are smaller than A4 with acid-free mount and backing board. These are sized for standard frames so that you can frame them yourself.

If you are buying off the shelf, I recommend buying aluminium or solid wooden frames; they will likely last longer and look better than “wood effect”. Reputable suppliers include the Ready Made Picture Frame Company or Nielsen, these can be bought online or are widely stocked in art shops. For my own home I often head to Dunelm for high-quality basic frames. TK Maxx is often good for small quirky picture frames!

Any mounts or back boards coming in contact with the print paper must be acid-free. Use brown paper framing tape to cover the gap between the edges of the back board and the frame (rolls are easy to buy on Ebay). This prevents little bugs getting inside the frame.

CARE OF YOUR PRINT

All my etchings are made using high-quality professional oil-based inks using specialist Somerset or Fabriano printmaking papers.

Prints should not be displayed in bright sunlight or a potentially damp location such as a bathroom or uninsulated external wall.

Any mounts or back boards coming in contact with the print paper must be acid-free.
